Description
This is an entry to #UF-artists current journal header contest.
Please read on for full descrition....
This fractal was done entirely in UF. I know it looks simple, but to me, this is one of the best things I've ever created. Why? Because the community helped me make it.
Through this group I met other fractalists, was introduced to new ways, learned new techniques, and was shown tutorials on how to do things I had no clue how to do.
When I first started in UF, I loved looking at other artists' gnarl fractals. I just loved their versatility and glamour. I never knew how to make them until I was shown tutorials on how to do them by a few fellow fractalers. Since then every 2nd or 3rd deviation I submit is a gnarl (or gnarl based formula).
Another thing I marveled at were fractals with writing in them. My jaw would always drop whenever I saw a fractal with fancy lettering. I always wondered how they did it until a link led me to the wonderful tutorial by ~JayceCruel [link] .
And lastly, frames. Frames, frames, frames. No matter what I did or how hard I tried I could NEVER get a frame the way I wanted it to look, so through frustration, I gave up. That is, until I was allowed to look at some parameters to see how the frames work. After that, I knew how to make them (but they are still very complicating for me!)
This contest entry represents everything I have learned because of this group. A gnarl background, lettering, and frames. (I also had to learn about mapping and placement for the lettering to get them where I wanted them to be! )
I just wanted to make something as a thank you to the group.
Spread the love for #UF-artists !
